- huh...
        -thoughts

Welcome to some random thoughts.

Some are mine and some are not.

"I think, therefore I am."
 ...maybe.

I think, therefore I think...  or I think therefore I think I think.  That's better.     ...uh... I think

Thoughts about these thoughts:

I thought it might be interesting to put in writing some thoughts.  Why?  Well aside from the egocentric belief that my thoughts are worth expressing to a larger audience, (isn't that the mentality of most performers, writers, artists, people, etc)  I think it's good for a discussion.  Tibetans teach like that - Discuss, Debate, Discuss, Discover.

And in discussions we sometimes grow and are bettered.  ...and it's a lot about growth isn't it?  Life I mean

Thoughts about teaching:

Anna Freud said: "Creative minds have always been known to survive any kind of bad training."

I think there has been a lot of bad training in a lot of areas.  And a lot of people have not survived. We don't see the crushed creative minds in the bigger scheme of things... well except Hitler.  I was told he wanted to be an artist.  His father crushed that and Adolph aimed  his interests... elsewhere.

It's OK to paint outside the lines. It's OK to learn in your own way. A good teacher will help a student find the path.  A good teacher doesn't teach, A good teacher facilitates a student's relationship with their future.

Bad teachers discourage and lack empathy.  ... oh and one more thing.  Bad teachers piss me off.

Thoughts about thinking:

I LOVE THINKING.  I love the process of thinking.

Being intellectual isn't what I'm talking about either.  Information and words are not the important thing.  It's not about being "smart" by society's standards.  It's the ideas.  It's the way the mind twists and dances with what it knows to come up with something all together different.

It's the sparkling tool that helps cut a path through a forest of confusion and a light that reveals the shapes in the shadows and a  toy that can be ANYTHING magically.

Today solve a problem in your mind.  Big or small - world peace or what would be good to eat for supper.

Think a thought nobody else ever has.

Einstein was not smart.  That's what he said.  But his thoughts were great.  He said he would think 99 'wrong' thoughts and one right thought to solve a problem.  And I've always liked that he said "Imagination is more important than knowledge."

What do you think?

MORE THOUGHTS TO COME!

Any questions?
